Izmir Hotels and Izmir Accommodation

 Throughout much of the year, it will not be difficult to find available accommodation within Izmir, although do be aware that noisy neighbouring streets should be expected and are near to most city hotels.
However, lodging is hard to come by between the middle of August until late September, since Izmir plays host to a major annual fair. Hotels are also very much in demand during the months of October and November, when a series of small expositions take place and the most popular accommodation soon begins to fill up.

The best budget hotels in Izmir tend to be located within the Akinci (Yenigun) area and around the Basmane railway station. Accommodation in the neighbourhood directly to the north, between the Anafartalar Caddesi and the Fevzipasa Bulvari, does tend to be plainer and less expensive than hotels situated to the north, around the Gazi Bulvari.
Worth noting, many of the least appealing hotels actually present pleasant wooden-clad exteriors, and so it is always a good idea to ask to see your room before paying.
 Otherwise, simply stick to accommodation on the northerly side of the Fevzipasa Bulvari, within the neighbourhood known as the Cankaya, where the Avsar Otel, the Guzel Izmir and the Omerim Hotel all reside.
Lodging on the pedestrianised 1369 Sokok is also a reliable option in Izmir, as is the accommodation around the Cumhuriyet Meydani, where the best choices include the Hilton Gaziosmanpasa, the Karaca Hotel and the Izmir Palace, which features an excellent seafront setting and very reasonably room rates.
